- Demand Growth: Robust long-term base demand is driving asset utilization and charter rates across shipping
- Supply Constraints: Record low orderbook for new ships, an aging fleet globally and growing regulations are compounding supply pressures
- Enhanced Diversification: Earnings from shipping have a low correlation between shipping sub-segments and with broader financial and commodity markets
- Regulatory Environment: The Fund’s modern portfolio is particularly well positioned given the sustained global drive towards decarbonisation and fuel efficiency
- Proven Track Record: Opportunity to invest alongside a leading long-term capital provider to the maritime sector with extensive experience in building profitable shipping platforms
The investment, with a total amount of US$ 58 million (including GFH co-investment of up to US$ 4 million), offers attractive return profile over its 6-year investment tenor, the investment is anticipated to deliver an expected Multiple of Money (MoM) of up to c. 2.0x, an average annual cash distribution of c. 9% and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of up to c. 15%.
