In 2020, GFH acquired Britus International School for Special Education ( previously known as Athena Private School for Special Education) in the Kingdom of Bahrain, further building on the Group’s regional education portfolio valued at more than US$250 million.

The School has quickly established itself as the premiere K-16+ school providing full-time educational resources and support to students with a broad range special needs. The School offers a host of unique features – making it the most comprehensive and best equipped of its kind in Bahrain.

The School has a capacity of c.400 students, making it the single largest school catering for only special needs with a purpose built educational campus that is well equipped for special needs students in the Kingdom. The School today is managed and operated under Britus Education platform, students at Britus International School for Special Education who progress to the necessary level can also seamlessly be enrolled and transition into the mainstream Britus school network.
