GFH launched Cemena in May 2008 with initially paid capital of US$ 250mn and primary objective of creating a building material producing holding company. The company’s strategy included the acquisitions and development of industrial building material factories to serve the growing demand for construction in the MENA region. Cemena currently owns Falcon Cement Factory and Balexco for Aluminum extrusion.
